Australian teens Priscilla Hon and Kimberly Birrell have shot up the WTA rankings following their recent results on the Pro Tour.

The youngsters faced off in the Brisbane QTC Tennis International final, a rare title battle between two wildcards and a match between friends, fellow Queenslanders and frequent training partners.

Hon won in straight sets – giving her a second Pro Tour title of the season – and as a reward vaulted 141 places to world No.358.

The rise boosts her to 11th position in the Australian rankings.
