John Millman was no match for Steve Johnson at the BNP Paribas Open, going down on Sunday in straight sets in their second round encounter.
The 30th seed beat the Australian 6-4 6-2 to set up a third-round meeting with No.5 seed Kei Nishikori.
Millman’s countryman Bernard Tomic has a tough third round match-up against towering Canadian world No.14 Milos Raonic on Monday.
Also in action on Monday will be Sam Stosur, who takes on local Christina McHale later on Monday.
