A new finals event for juniors who’ve excelled in Queensland throughout the year will be held during the 10th edition of the Brisbane International in 2018.
The new tournament, called the Champion of Champions presented by Tennis & Gear Online, will be the junior equivalent of the successful Queensland Money Race Final, which is contested between top ranked amateur players on the outside courts during the Brisbane International.
“Any Queensland player who has won a 12/U, 14/U or 16/U singles Junior Tournament in 2017 will be invited to take part in this first time prestigious event which will bring together the best juniors from across Queensland,” said Tennis Queensland Tournaments Coordinator Travis Dragojlo.
“Currently, 26 Junior Tournaments have been completed with an additional 16 Junior Tournaments to be played in 2017, which gives young players a chance to qualify for this exciting new event.”
The final of the Champion of Champions event will be held on the outside courts during the Brisbane International, giving young players a chance to compete alongside their idols, and soak up the atmosphere of playing at a world-class event.
