John Millman and Akira Santillan will open their campaigns at the Shenzhen Open on Tuesday.

Millman, the world No.190 who is using a protected ranking for entry, in the first round takes on No.6 seed Damir Dzumhur, who last week won his first ATP title in St. Petersburg.

Santillan, a wildcard, begins against Russian Evgeny Donskoy for a shot at second seed David Goffin.

Another Aussie, Matt Ebden, qualified for the main draw but fell in the opening round 6-0 7-6(8) to Dudi Sela on Monday.

At the concurrent ATP event in China, Bernard Tomic will take on No.6 seed Kyle Edmund in the first round of the Chengdu Open.

Meanwhile, Aussie qualifier Lizette Cabrera went down in the first round of the WTA tournament in Tashkent on Monday.

The Queenslander battled hard but fell 7-6(2) 6-2 to eighth seed Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia.
