Alex De Minaur has been nominated for two honours at the ATP World Tour Awards of 2018.
The 19-year-old is among the nominees for both Most Improved Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year – the second of which is restricted to Next Gen players.
De Minaur also secured his place at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan on 6-10 November, an event open to the best seven 21-and-under players in the rankings, plus a wildcard.
John Millman and Jason Kubler were also nominated at the ATP Awards, in the Comeback Player of the Year category.
That award recognises a player who has overcome significant injury to re-establish himself as a force on the ATP World Tour.
Both Millman and Kubler have achieved career-high rankings in 2018, with Kubler cracking the top 100 and Millman verging on the world’s top 30.
De Minaur is currently Australia’s top-ranked man at No.31; he begun the season outside the world’s top 200.
