Our Goal:

Tennis Queensland aims to boost coaching reach and participation by supporting 4-6 regional, rural, and remote venues. This initiative partners directly with local coach-venue operators, helping grow their businesses through tailored support, digital transformation, and school program delivery. This new branch is designed to support coaches in rural areas where there’s no coach operator (or established for less than 24 months).

How It Works:

Through targeted recruitment and professional development, we’ll empower coaches to:

• Build thriving coaching businesses.
• Strengthen connections within their communities.
• Create opportunities for players at their home venues and beyond.

Key Outcomes:

• Business Growth Support: Provide tailored assistance to existing regional coaching operators.
• School and Club Engagement: Deliver coaching programs to regional school networks and affiliated club venues, with seed funding tied to Open Day launch events.
• Digital Transformation: Enhance the digital capabilities of regional coaches and clubs to drive growth and engagement.

Eligibility Criteria:

To participate in this initiative, venues must meet the following requirements:

• Be a Tennis Queensland-affiliated venue in a regional location.
• The venue must have a minimum of four courts.
• Have no current coach operator, or an operator who has been at the venue for less than 24 months.
• Submit an Expression of Interest, either as a venue operator or coach.
