Our Goal:

To provide additional support to 4-6 regional venues per year, this initiative focuses on strengthening the coaching infrastructure by working with existing operators who would like support to grow their business. The initiative will recruit, develop, and support these individuals to become thriving coach-venue operators, fostering sustainable businesses that connect key stakeholders and create lasting pathways for players across their region. This approach enhances the servicing of affiliated venues, partner schools, and communities, ensuring a holistic strategy for capacity building in regional areas.

How It Works:

Through targeted recruitment and professional development, we’ll empower coaches to:

• Build thriving coaching businesses.
• Strengthen connections within their communities.
• Create opportunities for players at their home venues and beyond.

Key Outcomes:

• Business Growth Support: Provide tailored assistance to existing regional coaching operators.
• School and Club Engagement: Deliver coaching programs to regional school networks and affiliated club venues, with seed funding tied to Open Day launch events.
• Digital Transformation: Enhance the digital capabilities of regional coaches and clubs to drive growth and engagement.

Eligibility Criteria:

To participate in this initiative, venues must meet the following requirements:

• Be a Tennis Queensland-affiliated venue in a regional location.
• The venue must have a minimum of four courts.
• Have no current coach operator, or an operator who has been at the venue for less than 18 months.
• Submit an Expression of Interest, either as a venue operator or coach.
