The QLD Secondary School Sport State Championships (13-19 years) was held recently in Rockhampton from the 10th March to 13th March with 11 teams in QLD competing and 2 zones from the Central Region competing including Wide Bay & Capricornia.
Both the Wide Bay Team and the Capricornia Team played exceptional tennis in the individual event and the teams event.
Congratulations to the following 5 players who were selected in the QLD Team to compete at the National Secondary School Championships (Pizzey Cup) in Albury, NSW on 30th April – 8th May:-

- Nathan Cooke (Capricornia)
- Tamie Chew (Wide Bay)
- Hillary Tjandramulia (Capricornia)

Teams Competition Results:-
- Wide Bay: Boys Team finished in 2nd place & Girls Team finished in 9th place
- Capricornia: Boys Team finished in 3rd place & Girls Team finished in 4th place
