Bundaberg will be hosting an upcoming FREE Tennis Australia Court Supervisor Course in Bundaberg starting on Tuesday 20th September 2016 at the Bundaberg & District Tennis Association (Powers Street, Drinan Park Tennis Centre). The course will run from 6:00pm-9:30pm on Tuesday 20th September for theory with an additional practical assessment during the Bundaberg Open Age (JT Silver) Tournament.
Becoming a tennis official is a great way to be involved in the sport you love! Court Supervisors are responsible for monitoring a number of courts at a tournament or competition. They assist and educate players, parents, and coaches, and assist in the smooth running of an event. Court Supervisors help enforce the Rules of Tennis and Code of Behaviour, as well as resolving on court queries. This course covers General Principles of Officiating, Communication, Rules of Tennis and Player Management.
Course Details
• When: Theory: Tuesday 20th September 6:00pm–9:30pm.
Practical Assessment opportunity – two days available: Wednesday 21st September & Friday 23rd September (Sorry Thursday is not an available day).
• Where: Powers Street, Bundaberg at the Bundaberg & District Tennis Association (Drinan Park Tennis Centre).
• Online Pre course learning component – General Principles in Officiating must be completed prior to course.
• Please note – people wishing to become court supervisors must be minimum 18 years of age, and hold or be able to successfully obtain a “blue Card”…working with children check. The Blue Card, must be obtained before membership can be completed. All participants wishing to gain their accreditation, will be required to complete Tennis Australia Officials membership details.
