The opening round of the inaugural Gold Coast Tennis League was held last Sunday the 13th of September with Gold Coast Seniors first up on hosting duties.

The weather was sunny with a slight breeze, the courts were in pristine condition and the spectators were buzzing, which made for the perfect conditions for team tennis of the highest level.

All matches were contested in a great competitive spirit and it was great to see all of the teams wearing their uniforms proudly and getting behind their team mates.

A big thank you to the Gold Coast Seniors Tennis Club and the GCS Giants for setting a very high standard with their home tie, players enjoyed complimentary Powerade as well as a free BBQ sausage sizzle.
