Together with Queensland School Sport, Tennis Queensland has staged the regional finals of the Brisbane International Schools’ Challenge. The competition runs in two categories, orange ball for students up to grade 5 and green ball for students up to grade 6. More than 150 teams partipated in the regional finals throughout the state. The winning teams of the orange ball and the top two teams of the green ball competition of each regional final have qualified to compete for the State title at the Brisbane International.
In the Gold Coast region Somerset College sent the largest contingent of teams and players. The school was rewarded with two teams qualifying for the State Final at the Brisbane International. They will be accompanied by the winning team from the green ball category Pacific Pine Primary School.
