Hope Island Tennis Club located on Sickle Avenue held a successful Open Day on Sunday 31st of January 2016.
After watching the Brisbane International and Australian Open Tennis on television, many adults and children converged on the Hope Island Tennis promotion to try their hand at the popular sport saturating the airwaves.
It was a great day with come and try adult social doubles, complimentary Cardio Tennis as well as free Hot Shots tennis lessons. Plenty of prizes were handed out and everyone that came along enjoyed a BBQ lunch and some time on the Tennis court.
The club managed to recruit new memberships for 2016 and also enticed some more adults to their social tennis groups. The club coaches Tanya and John also enrolled 15 new students for the upcoming term of Tennis coaching.
All in all it was a great day that was organised by the committee and a special thanks to Warren Tapp who was the main organiser of the Open Day.
