State League

State League is the pinnacle of the competitions pathway in South Australia.

The State League competition is a weekly competition played over the summer season that see’s South Australia’s highest level players competing for the men’s and women’s State League titles. The winning teams receive prize money and the prestige of being the best club team in South Australia.

2024-25 Key Dates
  • Online team nominations open, 31 July
  • Online team nominations close, 14 August
  • Photo day, TBA
  • Start of season, 12 October 2024
  • Last match before Christmas, 7 December 2024
  • Break after, 7 December 2024 and returning, 1 February 2025
  • Last round, 15 February 2025
  • Finals to be run over 2 weekends commencing 22 February 2025 with Grand Final on March 1, 2025, and March 2, 2025.
Team Nomination 
  • A Tennis Club affiliated with Tennis SA may nominate a team to compete within the State League Competition
  • The State League Advisory Group strongly recommends that clubs only nominate one team.
  • Nominations shall be submitted online via League Manager
  • The Nomination will require a nominating club to name in Order of Merit the players which it proposes to play in its team.
  • Players nominated will be required to register and activate their own Universal Tennis Rating (UTR)
    • Clubs can no longer create a profile. A profile must be created by a player or parent/caregiver

  • Club’s must submit a signed Player Undertaking Document to the State League Coordinator by email prior to the nomination closing date.
  • A player nominated by a club in the top four in the Order of Merit must play a minimum of five matches
  • Team Fee’s for State League competition will be $1,512 (plus GST) per team. Successful clubs will be invoiced once nominations are confirmed.
