The Australian tennis community have rallied together to raise funds in support of those affected by the recent floods.
In Adelaide, World Tennis Challenge (WTC) Tournament Directors Darren Cahill, Mark Woodford, Roger Rasheed and Alistair MacDonald announced all proceeds from the sale of remaining World Tennis Challenge tickets from 1pm Wednesday 12th of January would be donated to the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal.
WTC Team Americas player John McEnroe announced he would be donating $10,000 donation to the flood relief. Check out the video here of McEnroe announcing his support on-court.
To raise additional funds, WTC conducted a ‘shirt off your back’ fundraising auction – each of the players participating have signed their shirt which have been donated for auction on the Australian Open’s official eBay store.
From now until 48 hours after the men’s final on 30 January you will be able to bid on your favourite item.
