Tennis Australia (TA) is the national governing body of Tennis, Australia’s favourite. We promote and facilitate participation in Tennis at all levels and also stage national and international tennis events, the most widely recognised of these include the Australian Open (AO), Australian Open Series (AOS), Davis Cup and Fed Cup.
The position holder will be responsible for the provision of high performance coaching and providing training expertise to all National Academy (NA) South Australia athletes, including the design and delivery of individual player development plans. Importantly, the position holder will also be accountable for the transition of athletes from the NA to the AIS Pro Tour program in keeping with the National Training Philosophy.
Reporting to the Head National Coach, the National Coach – South Australia will ensure the overall improvement and development of selected full and partial scholarship holders in the National Academy in South Australia. Concurrently, the purpose of this position is to ensure the overall development of non-scholarship athletes, in close consultation with the private coaches and to focus on the development of 10 to 16 year old athletes.
