Register your club for Tennis Month “Come and Try”
Saturday 20 August – Sunday 25 September 2011
Over 100 South Australian tennis clubs are expected to sign up to host an open day to invite fellow South Australians into their clubs as part of the Tennis SA’s ‘Come and Try Day’ initiative.
The ‘Come and Try’ day concept was introduced by Tennis SA to welcome members of the public to their local tennis club. Players of all ages and abilities, from junior hot shots to social warriors and seasoned campaigners, are invited to visit tennis.com.au/sa and locate their local participating ‘Come and Try Day’ venue from 1 August 2011.
Tennis SA CEO Alistair MacDonald says “Tennis continues to be recognised as the sport that Australian’s are most interested in, demonstrating how accessible the sport is in South Australia. ‘Come and Try’ day is a great opportunity for people to get active and transform their interest in the game of tennis into action on the court at their local tennis club”.
