Gail Aiken returns to Adelaide to present “Fundamental Perceptual Motor Skills – The building blocks to what?”

The full day workshop and Local Advisory Group Forum will cover an on-court FPMS program for 3 – 4 year olds, mpower minis business model and discuss the challenges faced by the coaches

Guest speaker: Gail Aiken

Gail is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of mpowerdome, the largest indoor multi-sport, multi-purpose facility of its kind in Australasia. Gail has spent the past 16 years coaching and managing business growth by utilising tennis as a medium to connect and engage with the broader community.

Her passion as a Tennis Australia Junior Development coach has been complemented by study, research and contributing to the formulation of a unique program design to assist participants to reach their given potential. In 2002, Gail received the TCA’s National Coaching Award for Excellence. In 2003, she was awarded the Australian Centenary Federation Medal by the Governor General for service to the community through tennis.

Over the past 13 years, Gail has served on a variety of local and national boards including Tennis Australia Committees, the Participation Industry Board and presently, the National Coaching Advisory Group. As a person who thinks outside the square, Gail has approached program design from the perspective of community needs and business potential. In 2007, the theme of Canberra’s premium Bicentennial Event was winning by Design through Sport and mpower minis was featured for its program design and unique special make up equipment.
