The No. 3 ranked junior tennis player in the world returned to Adelaide yesterday after consecutive ITF tournament victories in Korea.
“I’m very excited to come back to Adelaide and play in the NTL after two successful weeks in Korea,” he said.
“For me personally it’s beneficial for my tennis because it provides good match practice leading into the December showdown and then into January.
“It’s been a good year for me so far and I would love to finish it off strongly.”
Saville’s Somerton Park and rivals Rostrevor and Woodville-Glengarry all won their opening NTL ties last week.
Adelaide professional Colin Ebelthite and New Zealand Davis Cup player Marcus Daniell helped Rostrevor to a tight win over Trinity Titans 3-6-36 (matches, sets, games) to 3-6-29.
Novak Djokovic’s former coach Dejan Petrovic made a successful guest appearance for Woodville-Glengarry, winning his match against Brad Mousley as the Wanderers beat Broadview 5-10-44 to 1-2-24.
In the other tie, Somerton Park was too good for Goodwood winning 4-7-42 to 2-5-32.
