A NEW-LOOK Somerton Park will be out to exact revenge on unbeaten Rostrevor tomorrow night.
The two teams meet in Adelaide’s National Tennis League grand final at Memorial Drive.
The side will field Luke Saville, Jack Schipanski and Thanasi Kokkinakis who missed the one-set loss to Rostrevor in the minor round.
“We’ve done the hard yards to get into the final so we’re in the ring with a fighting chance,” Somerton captain Todd Langman said.
Saville will play Rostrevor’s former international doubles player Todd Perry at No. 1, while Somerton’s undefeated singles star Todd Ley meets Colin Ebelthite.
“It’s probably better for me to play against the younger guys (like Saville) as I play differently to what they usually see,” Perry said.
The finalists have booked their spot at Melbourne Park for next month’s national final and Langman said there was real excitement.
“When I told everyone on Saturday (we were top two) they were all pumped up and super excited to play in Melbourne,” Langman said.
In the women’s final, Flagstaff aims to continue its unbeaten run against Trinity Titans. Flagstaff, which recruited Ashley Keir from Canberra, expects a “really tough match”, captain Olivia Lukaszewicz says.
