Tennis SA is offering a traineeship in 2012 for the role of Competitions and Programs Assistant.
This full-time position offers the exceptional opportunity to an aspiring sport’s administrator to join the Tennis SA team in delivering top quality competitions and programs. Due to the dynamic nature of working in sport, the position will also include some involvement in the various events staged by Tennis SA throughout the year.
The traineeship has a study component through Sport SA that, on successful completion, earns a Certificate in Sport and Recreation, meaning that after twelve months the person will gain a formal qualification and invaluable experience working within the sport industry. As such, this opportunity would suit a recent school leaver looking for immediate entry into the work environment or even a tertiary graduate seeking the opportunity to get a ‘foot in the door’ as at the completion of the traineeship there may be the opportunity for retention within the organisation.
Desirable traits that are being sought are outstanding communication skills, a strong base of computer literacy, the ability to work both autonomously and with the various Tennis SA stakeholders, a positive attitude and an ambition to forge a career in sport’s administration.
Criteria will include:
– High-level of IT competence
– Successful completion of the SACE certificate (or equivalent)
– Current driver’s licence
– Working with children police check
Regular ‘out of hours’ work will be required including some weekend work.
