A Junior Development (SIS30710 Certificate III in Sport Coaching) graduate is well placed to provide coaching to junior beginner tennis players, particularly on a red, orange and green tennis court. Furthermore, they can plan and deliver a Fundamental Perceptual Motor Skills program.
As the Junior Development Coaching Course (SIS30710 Certificate III in Sport Coaching) is a competency based learning program, the learning outcomes are able to be applied immediately to the workplace; that is, providing competent coaching to junior beginner tennis players.
In practical terms, at the completion of the course, each participant has demonstrated competence in planning and coaching tennis sessions on a red, orange and green court. In addition to demonstrating their on-court coaching abilities they will have also shown competence in understanding and applying legal and ethical coaching practices, undertaking risk analysis of activities, apply first aid and reflecting on their coaching role and performance.
While the Junior Development Coaching Course (SIS30710 Certificate III in Sport Coaching) participants are ready to coach junior players they still require guidance and mentoring by their supervising coach. This mentoring is critical to the further development of their tennis coaching knowledge and skills and to assist them to progress to the Club Professional
