Day 7 of the Showdown saw the 18s National Singles Main Draw Compass start with four South Australians competing. Thanasi Kokkinakis got the day off to a good start with a 6/1, 6/1 victory over Matthew Tanza. Jack Schipanski also won in straight sets over Nick Horton and Brad Mousley made it a trifecta for the boys winning 6/4, 5/7, 7/5 over Queenslander Akira Santillan.

In the Girls 18/u Brooke Rischbieth lost to Victorian Zoe Hives 6/3, 6/2.

Five South Australian boys competed in the 14/u Qualifying draw today. Mislav Bosnjak was the successful athlete of the group here that won 2 rounds to earn a spot in the 14/u Main Draw starting today.

South Australia will have 4 girls in the 14/u Main Draw today (Mimi Ahern- Briggs, Petra Hule, Nicole Kreamer and Brooke Milner. Mislav Bosnjak will be the sole SA boy in the Main Draw.

In the Boys 18s  singles today Jack Schipanski plays Brad Mousley, Thanasi Kokkinakis plays Junior Davis Cup team mate Blake Mott and Brooke Riscbieth plays Samantha Harris. The 18s Doubles will also be on with Lawrence Bataljin, Nicole Collie, Chloe Hule and James Ma all competing here.

With the the 14s Doubles also on tomorrow there will be 18 South Australians in action today. This is sure to keep all SA Coaches in Melbourne busy tomorrow. The coaches from SA here at the moment are Talent Development Coaches Ben Milner and Craig Mousley, National Coaches Milo Bradley and Rohan Fisher, National Strength and Conditioning Head Coach Daniel Buberis, State Coach Joel Kerley and private coach at Todd Langman
