Round Five of the Pizzey Cup was played in the May heatwave here at memorial Drive with temperatures getting close to 30 degrees.

In the Pizzey Cup South Australia lost a thriller to Western Australia going down 8 rubbers to 10. Queensland had a strong win over Tasmania who fought hard throughout the contest and Victoria downed an ACT team who continue to fight above their weight class by competing strongly with the bigger states.

Tomorrow sees the titanic clash of the undefeated teams from Victoria and New South Wales with the winner of the tie likely to take home the 2013 Pizzey Cup.
