Over 1,500 players have battled it out over the past few months in the Health Partners Winter Pennant season with the hard work paying off for those in the Grand Finals, scheduled this weekend across a range of venues.

In the Men’s Premier League, played at Memorial Drive in what is expected to be beautiful conditions for tennis, Memorial Drive Tennis Club will line-up with the likes of rising Star Yuya Ito and fellow team mates Lawrence Bataljin, Sam Longhurst, Mark Butcher and Joel Scalzi. The Drive is set for a tough match against reigning premieres Trinity Titans with a list of big names including Asia-Pacific Tennis League (ATL) players Li Tu, David To, Adam Alessandrini and James Ma.

The Women’s Premier League will see two new teams fight for the premiership this year, West Lakes will be the home team with a list of exciting and competitive players including the Petrov Sisters Stefana and Jovana, Theadora Kotsiou and Amy Edmonds. West Lakes will take on second place Goodwood Saints which has a young list that shouldn’t be underestimated with the likes of Olivia Ley, Brooke Milner, Codie George, Amber Marshall and Nikki Milner.

All participating clubs are to be commended for the excellent sportsmanship and spirited competition that was displayed throughout the season.

The Tennis SA Health Partners Winter Pennant presentations and wrap up will be held at the Millswood Tennis Centre on Sunday September 15th from 2:30-4:30pm. All players and their families are encouraged to attend this acknowledgement of their club’s outstanding achievements in 2013.
