South Australia’s pre-eminent summer tennis competition gets underway this Saturday with round one of the Metro Lawn Tennis Association (MLTA) State League.
The teams competing in the 2013/14 season are:
Men’s State League
- Glenlea (Defending 2012/2013 Champions)
- Louca’s Seafood Grill Trinity Titans
- Broadview
- Tea Tree Gully Subways
- “The Drive”
- Seaside Loan Ave Legends
- West Lakes
Ladies State League
- Goodwood “Saints” (Defending 2012/2013 Champions)
- Memorial Drive
- West Lakes
- Kingswood
- Somerton Park
- Golden Grove
- Seaside Gasworks Findon Flames
- Glenlea
There will be a 16 round season which should ensure teams are able to field their strongest teams each week of the season whilst also working around the Australian festive and tennis seasons
Metro welcomes back West Lakes in the men whilst Glenlea will be represented in the Women’s competition for the first time.
Metro wishes all players an enjoyable summer of tennis and all teams a successful season.
Metro would also like to acknowledge a major stakeholder in Coopers Alehouse at the Earl.
Coopers Alehouse at the Earl has been wonderful sponsors and supporters of the league since its inception and the MLTA is honoured that they are continuing this relationship for the new season.
