The National Academy (NA) Adelaide program is delighted to announce Alistair Murphy has commenced in the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach as of 7 January.
Alistair holds a Degree in Exercise Science specialising in rehabiltation. He also has 1st Class honours in Exercise Science, with one year remaining on his PHD. Alistair holds a Level 2 Australian Strength & Conditioning qualification and over the past 3 years has also been on numerous Tennis Australia International Tours.
Alistair joins the NA Adelaide program after a three year Internship with the NA Melbourne Team.
The National Academy Adelaide program and Tennis SA High Performance program currently consists of:
- National Head Coach – Milo Bradley
- National Academy Manager – Rohan Fisher
- State Development Coach – Joel Kerley
- State Academy Coach – Domenic Marafiote
The National Academy – Adelaide program since its inception in 2007 has had three previous Strength & Conditioning Coaches.
These include, David Jones who left to joined the AIS program from Adelaide to work with top players, including South Australian Luke Saville. David is currently now working with the Dutch Olympic Federation.
Peter Janicki followed and now works and travels with 17-year old South Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis. Finally in October of last year Daniel Buberis departed the NA – Adelaide program to join the NA – Melbourne program.
