South Australia’s young talent Bradley Mousley led eight qualifiers into the main draw of the City of Onkaparinga Tennis International as qualifying action concluded on Monday at Happy Valley Tennis Club. Mousley earned a main draw clash with qualifier Adam Hubble after defeating Andrew Corbitt 6-4, 6-4.
Mousley was not the only South Australian to qualify. Li Tu will make his eighth main draw appearance after finishing strongly defeating Daniel Nolan 6-3, 6-3.
The top three seeds also advanced, with Leon Frost dismissing James Palmer 6-2, 6-2, Marious Zelba battling past Scott Dawson 7-5, 6-2 and Finn Tearney who will be one of two New Zealand players in the men’s main draw after defeating Japanese Ono Masayoshi 6-3, 6-2.
The Main Draw of the City of Onkaparinga Tennis International will begin tomorrow. Big name Jordan Thompson vs. South Australian Darren Polkinghorne and South Australian Luke Saville vs. Jacob Grills will kick off on day one of main draw at the tennis courts of Happy Valley Tennis Club.
