Eight first round singles matches, as well as a full first round of doubles matches, were played today at the 2014 City of Onkaparinga Tennis International.
South Australian Qualifier’s Li Tu and Bradley Mousley won through to the second round with Li Tu defeating Devin McCarthy (USA) 6-1 6-7 6-4 and Bradley Mousley defeating Adam Hubble (AUS) (AUS) 7-6 6-3. Top seeds Luke Saville [4] and Jordan Thompson [3] won their spots in the second round with Thompson being pushed by Darren Polkinghorne (SA) 6-1 5-7 6-3.
Tomorrow’s schedule is headlined by first and second seeds Jamere Jenkins (USA) and Yasutaka Uchiyama (JPN) in the singles, with doubles quarterfinals to be played later in the afternoon.
