Four first round singles matches, as well as a full first round of doubles matches, were played today at the 2014 City of Salisbury Tennis International.
Qualifier Ellen Perez (AUS) made her way swiftly past wild card recipient Samantha Harris (AUS) 6-1 6-2, whilst fourth seed Zuzana Zlochova accounted for Yuka Higuchi (JPN) 6-4 6-1. Third seed Viktorija Rajicic defeated Isabella Holland 6-1 7-7 (7) and Yafan Wang moved past Aleksandrina Naydenova 6-1 7-6 (4).
Tomorrow’s schedule is headlined by first and second seeds Misa Eguchi (JPN) and Hiroko Kuwata (JPN) in the singles, with doubles quarterfinals to be played later in the afternoon.
