Eight second round singles matches, Quarter Final and Semi-Final rounds of men’s doubles were played today at the 2014 City of Onkaparinga Tennis International.
Number one seed Jamere Jenkins (USA) was pushed once again in three sets defeating South Australian Bradley Mousley 6-7 6-1 7-5, Li TU (SA) had a strong start against seventh seed Matthew Barton (AUS) winning the first set 6-4 but was not able to hold on losing the next two sets 0-6 0-6. Third seed Jordan Thompson (AUS) went toe to toe with Finn Tearney (NZL) winning 4-6 7-6 6-4. Number two seeds M.Danielle (NZL) & D.Propoggia (AUS) won their spot in the men’s doubles final. As for the number 1 seeds A.Bolt (AUS) & A.Whittington (AUS) were not so lucky in an upset loss to Japanese pairing T.Niki & Y.Uchiyama 6-2 3-6 10-8.
Matches will start at 11am tomorrow, with main draw singles and doubles.
