142 boys and 64 girls competed in the Secondary School Sport SA Tennis Championships held from the 12–14 March. The players competed in a championship draw and first round losers then competed in a consolation plate. The events were based on year levels with competitions held for Year 8 Boys, Year 9 Boys, Year 10 Boys, Year 11 & 12 Boys, Year 8 & 9 Girls and Open Girls.
The three days were held in near perfect conditions at Peake Gardens Riverside Tennis Club. Thanks must go to the President, Peter McMahon and the band of volunteers who manned the canteen over the three days. Well done to all of the participants and congratulations to each of the winners who played excellent tennis throughout the day.
