Sunday 2 November saw Tea Tree Gully Tennis Club play host to Tennis SA’s ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Superheroes and Princesses Tournament.
The tournament attracted 25 children playing over Orange and Green Ball divisions. With its modified environments, ANZ Tennis Hot Shots lets kids find success at tennis from a young age. The size of the court and racquet along with the compression of the ball (which alters bounce and speed in flight) are all designed to ensure players at each stage of development achieve success.
In a very close and entertaining final, Jesse Rothgrew defeated Sam Todd 14 points to 9 to win the Orange Ball 8 and Under division, whilst in the Green Ball Boys (9-12 year olds), Ralph Catipay defeated Oliver Riessen 11-6.
