It has been a very warm and sunny day to start the 2015 Clare Valley Tennis International, with 16 first round qualifying matches completed today.

12 South Australian’s took to the court, with five successful in making their way through to the second round.

Petra Hule was amongst the first to kick off the tournament, defeating Sasha Alexander (Vic) 6-4 7-5, whilst Indi-Arna Morris overcame Rebecca Jones (NSW) 6-4 2-6 6-3.

In all South Australian affairs, Nicole Kraemer defeated Mimi Ahern-Briggs 6-1 6-2 and Nikki Milner took the win in a tough match against Maria Lobanova 6-2 3-6 6-2.  Tahlia van der Eerden then defeated Annie Donaldson (Qld) 6-3 7-5 to round out the days matches.

All seeded players moved directly through to the second round, with these matches to be played tomorrow starting at 10:00am.
