Main draw matches for the 2015 Clare Valley Tennis International have kicked off in sensational weather today at Clare Tennis Club.

Number one seed, Su Jeong Jang (KOR) commenced proceedings with a 6-4 6-4 win over China’s Ran Tian. Number two seed, Na-Lae Han (KOR) defeated Ayaka Okuna, who was unfortunately forced to retire at 6-3 3-1, whilst eighth seed Yan Wang (CHN) defeated Kamonwan Buayam (THA) 6-3 6-1. In the final singles match for the day, Chang Liu (CHN) defeated Yuuki Tanaka (JPN) 6-4 6-4.

Main draw doubles also kicked off with the top three seeds all progressing to the quarter finals.

Tomorrow will be headlined by the completion of the first round of singles, including third seed Zuzana Zlochova (SVK) and fourth seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn (THA), as well as the quarter finals in the doubles. Matches are due to start at 10:00am.
