It’s been another day of beautiful weather at the 2015 Clare Valley Tennis International, however it was a day that claimed three seeded casualties, leaving just five in the draw for the round of 16.

Fourth seed Noppawan Lertcheewakarn (THA) was defeated by qualifier Jennifer Elie (USA) 6-2 4-6 6-1, sixth seed Sandra Zaniewska (POL) was overcome by Mai Minokoshi (JPN) 3-6 6-0 6-4 and third seed Zuzana Zlochova (SVK) was unfortunately forced to retire at 2-6 6-4 against Australia’s Karis Ryan due to illness.

Day 6 action will be headlined by six Aussies, including fifth seed Jessica Moore, wildcards Sally Peers and Jelena Stojanovic, and qualifiers Priscilla Hon, Zoe Hives and Karis Ryan. The doubles semi-finals will also be played tomorrow, following the singles, later in the afternoon.

Day 6 will also see the introduction of the Pro Tour Schools Experience, featuring a behind the scenes tour of the tournament and ANZ Tennis Hot Shots, with a total of around 350-400 school children expected to visit the event over the next two days.
