Sunday 13 September saw Broadview Tennis Club play host to Tennis SA’s 2015 ANZ Tennis Hot Shots New York Slam.
The tournament attracted a 39 children playing over Red, Orange and Green Ball divisions. With its modified environments, ANZ Tennis Hot Shots lets kids find success at tennis from a young age. The size of the court and racquet along with the compression of the ball (which alters bounce and speed in flight) are all designed to ensure players at each stage of development achieve success.
In a close final, Ollie Kelly defeated Jia Shah 14 points to 11 to win the Red Ball 6 and 7 year olds division, whilst Nathan Zhang defeated Joshua Stephens 15-12 to win the Green Ball Boys 9-12 year olds division.
