Tea Tree Gully ladies have dealt Memorial Drive their first loss for the year with a four rubbers to two win. TTG’s Nicole Collie had her best win of the season when she overcame Mel Clayton at number one single, Collie’s win was backed up with a super impressive win by youngster Amber Marshall at number two single, Marshall beat experienced Drive player Mel Beadman in straight sets.

Glenlea and Prospect had a tight match at Glenlea with some top level tennis played throughout the afternoon. Olivia Ley got Prospect off to a strong start with a three set win over AJ Walters at top single, Glenlea’s Petra Hule got them back in the game with a solid win over fellow youngster Maddie Bishop while Prospects Indi-Arna Morris got over the line in a tight match with Tayla Whitehouse.

Kingswood had an commanding six rubber to love win over a struggling West Lakes side. Nicole Kraemer set the tone for the day with a straight sets win over Jovana Petrov at number one single and from there Kingswood continued to dominate.

In the men’s competition Memorial drive had a five rubber to one win over Glenlea, Memorial Drive Yuya Ito was too good for Glenlea youngster Brock Meuris at number one single and form there The Drive continued to stay on top. Glenlea’s Simon Pascoe was able to get his team on the board with a good win over youngster Stefan Norodom

Collingrove had a resounding six rubbers to love win over Seaside, Collingrove number one Sean Page was able to tame Mislav Bosnjak at number one single and his teammates followed suit as they took away a much needed 10 point to love win.

Broadview also had a much needed win with number one player Sam Longhurst making a welcome return to the State League, Longhurst had an impressive win over TTG opponent Josh Crowe. Broadview were then able to take out all other singles for the day which set them up for the win.

Trinity were in hot form with a five rubbers to one win over a struggling Golden Grove team, Li Tu was in great form with a dominant win over Golden Grove youngster Sean Van Rensburg while vertan Andrew Tavella also had a convincing win at number two single.
