Day 8 of the City of Onkaparinga ATP Challenger 2016 has been a perfect day for the singles semi-finals.

The first semi-final was a one sided affair, with eighth seed Taylor Fritz (USA) defeating Australia’s Andrew Whittington (Vic) 6-0 6-2 in just under an hour. In the second semi-final, Dudi Sela (ISR) appeared to have the match in the bag at 6-2 5-3 when Marton Fucsovics (HUN) mounted a comeback, even serving for the match at one stage, however Sela managed to fight his way out of trouble to win the match 6-2 6-7(2) 7-6(4).

Tomorrow is finals day, starting with the doubles at 11:00am, featuring second seeds Denys Molchanov (UKR)/Aleksandr Nedovyesov (KAZ) taking on Matteo Donati (ITA)/Andrey Golubev (KAZ). This match will be followed by the singles between [1] Dudi Sela (ISR) and [8] Taylor Fritz (USA).
