Well let’s just say the tennis gods have certainly looked over us this week with the perfect sunny weather we’ve had at Happy Valley Tennis Club. We were told that every tournament at Happy Valley will have a day of rain, so we are certainly celebrating.
After such an amazing week of tennis, we have some thank yous we would like to make.
Firstly, to Happy Valley Tennis Club Event Coordinators, Simon Longhurst and Sue Hoppo. It is your dedication, determination and enthusiasm that makes this event a reality. As Tournament Directors, we understand the months and hours of work that go in to making this event possible and for that we simply cannot thank you enough.
To Happy Valley Tennis Club’s 110 volunteers, thank you for all of your assistance throughout the week. From Area Coordinators, Courtesy Car Drivers, Canteen Staff, Player Services, Court Services, Ballkids and even Koala Visitation Coordinators, it has been a pleasure to work with you all throughout the week and we hope to see you all again next year.

To have around 200 kids involved in the event over 5 days, including WTC Kids Day, was a mammoth task that looked simply amazing and was enjoyed by all.
To all of our ANZ Tennis Hot Shots and Wheelchair demonstration participants from throughout the week, thank you for being involved in the event. We hope you enjoyed your time on Centre Court!
To Amelia Mulcahy, thank you for MCing our Finals Day. Your professionalism and ability to step in and take control of the day was simply brilliant! Thank you so very much for your support of the event.
To all of the athletes who have participated in this year’s tournament. Thank you for providing us with such fabulous tennis over the course of the week. It has been a pleasure to have you be a part of the tournament and hope that you have enjoyed your time here.
Finally, to the spectators, thank you for your support throughout the week, we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
