Casey Dellacqua and Ash Barty have made it through to the Women’s Doubles Final at the Nyrstar Port Pirie Tennis International after defeating the international pairing of Abduraimova and Stefkova. Dellacqua and Barty will come up against Riko Sawanagi and Ya-Hsuan Lee who also had a straight sets semifinal win. The final will be played after 1pm today.

In the men’s singles event, Dayne Kelly came from a set down to beat Port Lincoln’s Darren Polkinghorne. Polkinghorne shot out of the blocks to win the first set 6-1 before Kelly bounced back to win the match 1-6 6-1 6-3. Kelly will now play Blake Mott who had an solid 6-3 6-4 win over Steven De Waard.

Victorian youngster Marc Polmans was impressive in his victory over Greg Jones. After the match was level at one set all Polmans managed to play his best tennis for the match to take the victory 6-2 3-6 6-4.

Three Australians have made it through to the last eight in the women’s singles with Jess Moore, Arina Rodionova and Alison Bai all registering straight sets win. Rodionova was too strong for promising Czech Barbora Stefokova while Jess Moore was too consistent in her win over Nigina Abduraimova.

Quarter Finals matches will start from 10am.
