Arina Rodionova has made it through to her second Pro Tour final in two weeks after coming from a set down to defeat second seed Riko Sawayanagi. Rodionova started slowly going down 2-6 in the first set before finding her feet and playing strongly from the back of the court to record a 2-6 6-2 6-2 win.

Rodionova will play Austrian 19 year old Barbara Haas in the final after Haas proved too strong for Aussie Jess Moore. Haas was good early with a 6-1 first set before Moore found her feet and battled hard to get back into the match. At 5 all in the second set Haas took her game up a level and broke Moore at 6-5 to take out the match 6-1 7-5.

In the men’s draw it will be an all Australian affair with Blake Mott taking on Chris O’Connell. Mott was impressive in his win against New Zealand fifth seed Ruben Statham after a slow start. After losing the first set 6-1 Mott turned the tables in the second set to level the match. After breaking Statham at 3 all in the third set Mott managed to stave off a number of break points to serve out the match 1-6 6-1 6-4.

O’Connell was equally impressive in a high quality match against Victorian Marc Polmans, after losing the first set 1-6 O’Connell rebounded to win the second set 6-1. The third set was full of quality tennis as both players lifted their level, it was O’Connell who was able to get the break and held firm to win the match 4-6 6-1 6-4.

Today will begin with the Men’s Singles Final at 11am, followed by the Women’s Singles Final not before 12noon.
