>Information for social functions can be viewed here
This year’s Carnival will be the 29th time that this event has been held. The popularity of the event has grown dramatically since its earlier days, and now regularly attracts over 500 players in about 100 teams. Many teams from Adelaide and South Australian country areas as well as teams from Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, ACT and New Zealand regularly participate in the carnival.
The Berri Carnival is a doubles tournament and is mostly played on lawn at the Berri Tennis Club and at other Riverland Tennis venues including Renmark, Loxton and Barmera. In addition some matches are played on carpeted courts at the Berri Tennis Club.
Men’s and Women’s teams consist of at least 4 players, and each team can nominate up to 6 players for each match. Teams generally nominate for an Open competition, or a competition based on the age of the youngest team member ranging from 35+ up to 70+ in 5 year intervals. The abilities of the team members may also influence the age competition in which the team participates.
It is important to submit entries for the Berri Tennis Seniors SA Teams Carnival before the closing date.
