Day 2 started a little cloudy, but perfect tennis weather returned and brought some upsets along with it.

In the 12/u Girls, wildcard recipient Bianca Iannazzone (VIC) defeated fourth seeded Angelina Subotic Dordevic (NSW) in a tough match, 6-3 1-6 7-6(5). In the 14s, South Australia’s Maggie Pearce registered a 7-5 7-5 victory over [4] Lexie Weir (WA), whilst Stefan Storch took the upset of the day with a comprehensive 6-3 6-1 win over [1] Nikita Volonski (NSW) in the boys.

South Australia’s Edward Vo, Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz, Sebastian Flock, Tiana Glazbrook, Yasmin Glazbrook and Natasha Russell have all made their way through to the quarter finals to be played on Tuesday.

Day 3 will be doubles day, with first and second round matches to be completed, starting at 9:30 am.
