Day 3 started off a little wet, but Doubles Day began according to schedule and a beautiful day followed.
The 12/u boys saw some surprise results with top seeds Haru Sonton and Edward Vo (QLD/SA) defeated by Arden Jared De Melo and Max Weir (WA) 7-5 7-5 in the first round, whilst fourth seeded Aston David Bloom and Lathan Treacy (NSW/QLD) were also eliminated leaving the top half of the draw wide open. In the 12/u girls, all seeded pairings made their way through to the semi-finals unscathed.
In the 14/u boys, South Australia’s Terry Karahalios and Jack Tallarida Lyons (ACT) defeated fourth seeds Daniel Paveska and David Qariaqus (VIC) 7-6(1) 6-3. Liam Franklin and Cooper White (NT/VIC) then followed suit defeating third seeded Lucas Cameron and Kyle O’Donoghue-Ellis in a tight match 6-7(2) 6-2 10-4. In the 14/u girls, third seeded South Australian sisters Tiana and Yasmin Glazbrook were overcome by Ashley Allman and Ella Fraser (NSW) in a long match, 4-6 7-6(6) 10-7.
Day 4 will be singles quarter-final and doubles semi-final day with matches starting at 9:30 am.
