Day 4 has been a cracking day at Next Generation Memorial Drive with plenty of sunshine making for perfect tennis conditions.
In the 12/u boys, hometown boy and number one seed Edward Vo defeated [8] Ryan McConkey (WA) 6-1 6-4, Derek Pham (WA) overcame Andy Danis (NSW) 6-4 6-2, [4] William Hatzis (NSW) defeated [5] Rowan Mendis (VIC) 6-4 6-1 and second seed Haru Sonton (QLD) defeated [7] Arden Jared De Melo (WA) in a tough encounter 7-5 4-6 6-3. In the girls, top seed Lara Walker (QLD) had a comfortable win over [5] Catherine Aulia (NSW) 6-3 6-2, [7] Talia Gibson (WA) defeated Bianca Iannazzone (VIC) 7-6(4) 6-3, sixth seed Lauren Nikoloski (WA) defeated [3] Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz (SA) 7-5 6-0 and [2] Anastasia Berezov (NSW) overcame Tiana Stojkovic (NSW) 6-2 6-0.
In the 14/u boys, Stefan Storch continued his unseeded run to the semi-finals defeating [6] Lucas Cameron (VIC) 7-6(5) 6-1, South Australia’s [3] Sebastian Flock eliminated Connor Johnson (NSW) 6-2 6-1, [4] Stefan Milenkovic (VIC) defeated [7] Kamil Adam Kozlowski (NSW) after a long battle 3-6 6-4 6-3 and second seed William Hann (WA) moved through with a 6-2 6-2 victory over Junyi Tang (NSW). In the girls, number one seed Annerly Poulos (ACT) defeated [7] Tara Gilich (WA) 6-2 6-0, in an all-South Australian battle [8] Tiana Glazbrook defeated Maggie Pearce 7-6(3) 6-4, [3] Crystal Mildwaters (WA) emerged victorious over Yasmin Glazbrook (SA) 6-3 7-6(6) and [5] Caitlyn Portela (NSW) defeated second seed Natasha Russell (SA) 6-3 6-3.
Day 5 will be singles semi-final day with matches starting at 9:30 am. The doubles finals will follow in the afternoon, starting at 3:30 pm.
