Chloe Hule, an 18 year old from Pennington SA, is about to embark on an exciting life changing experience, a four year tennis scholarship at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
In August, Chloe will be jetting off to Boulder to study Psychology and Sports Psychology and train with the women’s tennis team, The Buffaloes (nicknamed The Buffs). The women’s tennis team is spearheaded by Nicole Kenneally, who enters her 17th year as head coach and continues to lead the Buffaloes in one of the elite tennis conferences nationally.
Milo Bradley (National Academy Head Coach) played a significant role in assisting with Chloe’s application. With many schools approaching Milo first, Chloe had the luxury of being able to review a number of options with Milo’s help. A process which involved a high level of patience to cover off many details, such as sorting out academic transcripts, and with the time difference an added delay, the process has taken a long time. However, the wait will surely be worth it.
Chloe won’t have long to settle in though, as her daily routine will involve two-three hours training, on court conditioning afterwards and the rest of the day dedicated to Uni studies. Then from the end of August until the start of May competitions will be every weekend.
“My goal is to achieve as many things as possible….. good grades, meet new people, experience new things, study new topics, do really well with my tennis and my match plays, and hopefully during the off season I can travel and play a few tournaments in Europe and in America”.
“I will really miss my family members back at home…. sister, mum, boyfriend and coaches however apart from that, I am really looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life and I am very excited and proud of myself for to taking on this adventure” said Hule.
Best of luck Chloe and we look forward to following your progress during your time away.
