The 2016 Winter Pennant Grand Finals are set to take place this Saturday in what is shaping to provide some terrific contests across the competition. In total, 32 Grand Finals will take place at venues across Adelaide with men’s and women’s singles competition played across a total of 27 singles and doubles grades and five doubles only grades.

The Men’s Premier League competition will see Glenlea Gators take on Kingswood in what shapes as an evenly matched contest. Young Gun’s Brock Meuris and Ethan Lawson will be looking to make a strong start in their singles matches for Glenlea as will the more experienced Simon Pascoe who will play an important role in such a big match for his young team. For Kingswood, youngster Sean Van Rensburg will be hard to beat at top single and he will be well supported by fellow youngster Sam Gericke as well as Troy Mcneil and Patrick Klaosen.

In the Ladies Premier League competition, Glenlea are again represented when they take on powerhouse Trinity Gardens. Trinity Gardens have been bolstered by the inclusion of Jovana and Stefean Petrov in 2016 and with Amber Marshall playing at top single they will go into the match as warm favorites. Glenlea’s Olivia Ley will play at top singles and her performance will play a major part in Glenlea’s success on the day as will power hitter Alex Cannizzaro. Cannizzaro and Ley will will be well supported by young guns Sophie Faull and Issy Ryles as Glenlea look to take out the Winter Title after winning the Summer State League Competition in 2015/16.
