Congratulations to Bruce Rehn of North Adelaide who paired up with John Walker (QLD) to win the Bronze medal in the 75yrs+ Mens Doubles at the Super-Seniors World Individual Championships 2016 held in Umag, Croatia recently.
No 4 seeds, Rehn and Walker played well to make it to the semi-final, but were unable to math it against No 1 seeds Peter Pokorny (AUT) / Enio Giorgio Roehrich(ITA), who went onto to win the Gold medal.
Next on Rehn’s tennis calendar is the Australian Seniors Tennis Championships in Adelaide, 8 – 20 January 2017. Rehn is especially looking forward to having a home ground advantage where he will face Bob Howes (VIC) in the singles event, given he has never won against Howes.
Regardless of the singles result, Rehn will still have a good chance of success when he pairs up with Howes in the Doubles event, which they have won several Doubles titles together over the past decade.
