The weather man has come up with the goods making it another cracking day at TennisFest!

The South Australian Tennis Championships for Players with an Intellectual Disability kicked off this morning with some fantastic matches on display. Tomorrow will see players take part in their final rounds of matches.

Also this morning, Drive Tennis was played across the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre, State Training Facility and Next Generation Memorial Drive courts. Featuring representative teams from schools across Adelaide, some excellent tennis was played with some great sportsmanship on display.

Finally, State League teams were brought together to take part in a Super Round on the grass courts of Next Generation Memorial Drive.

Australian Open trophies

The Australian Open trophies, Norm and Daph, visited Drive Tennis and South Australian Tennis Championships for Players with an Intellectual Disability participants in the morning and then caught up with State League Super Round players in the afternoon. Norm and Daph had an exciting evening, making a guest appearance alongside Jessica Adamson and Mark Soderstrom on Channel 7 News.

Tomorrow is TennisFest Super Sunday, with Super 10s, Angus Thomson Cup, South Australian Tennis Championships for Players with an Intellectual Disability, TennisFest Wheelchair Open, State League Grand Final Rematch and Red Ball Rumble all taking place at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre and Next Generation Memorial Drive. Demonstration and Showcase Courts will be in action throughout the day, along with an Interactive Zone and special appearances from Norm and Daph.

Entry to TennisFest is free, with the general public more than welcome to come along and take part in the various activities during the day.
