First round singles matches have been completed in warm and sunny conditions, however Day 4 has seen the seeds fall at the City of Onkaparinga Tennis Challenger 2017.

Top seed Donald Young (USA) was defeated by Ruben Bemelmans (BEL) 6-2 2-6 7-6(3), whilst second seed Joao Souza (BRA) was overcome by Matthias Bachinger (GER) 6-7(5) 6-4 6-3.

[3] Denis Kudla (USA), [4] Peter Polansky (CAN), [6] Darian King (BAR) and [8] Marton Fucsovics (HUN) are the only seeds to remain.

South Australians Alex Bolt and Luke Saville, however, stole the show and have both continued their winning ways. Bolt took a convincing 6-3 6-2 victory over Tatsuma Ito (JPN), whilst Saville defeated Max Purcell (NSW) in three tight sets, 4-6 6-3 6-3.

Day 5 will see Saville take to the court again, this time against King in the second match on Court 6. In the doubles, top seeded pairing of Hans Podlipnik-Castillo (CHI) and Max Schnur (USA) will take on Marinko Matosevic (Vic) and South Australia’s Bradley Mousley in the third match on Court 4.
