Day 8 was a scorcher, but the singles finalists have been confirmed at the City of Onkaparinga Tennis Challenger 2017.

In the first semifinal, Peter Gojowczyk (GER) produced a dominant display over third seed Denis Kudla (USA) 6-4 6-2.

This was followed by nineteen-year-old Victorian Omar Jasika making his way through to his first Challenger Tour final with an impressive victory over Joris De Loore (BEL). Trailing in the latter half of the third set, Jasika was forced to save match points before emerging victorious, 6-4 4-6 7-6(3).

Day 9 is set to be a fantastic day, with the doubles final between Hans Podlipnik-Castillo (CHI)/Max Schnur (USA) and Steven De Waard (Qld)/ Marc Polmans (Vic) to open proceedings on Court 6 at 11.00 am. This match will be followed by Gojowczyk and Jasika, not before 12.00 noon.
